Weeks of meticulous planning had gone by; posters had been put up at strategic locations within the ABUAD Medical complex at Ido-Ekiti and messages had been sent to virtually every WhatsApp group chat which had an editorial board member on it. Finally, the day of celebration had come. It was the 9th day of the month of September and you could feel the anticipation in the air.
People began to trickle into the auditorium as early as 2:30pm to take their seats while some soothing music played in the background.
The programme began around 4pm with the opening prayers said by Blessing Aguda,
On the 27th and 28th of May 2016, CMDA-Students ABUAD made their debut visit to Ipere-Ekiti, a village in Iye district, Ilejemeje Local Government Area of Ekiti State. It signaled the beginning of a very special love affair that would eventually be spiced up with follow-ups at intervals and the likes.
On the day of the Lord, the very first day in the 9th month of the 17th year in the 21st Century, CMDA-Students ABUAD had their second coming.
On the 8th of July 2017, the day broke with a distinctive atmosphere. The entire complex wore a graceful robe of excitement with a light shade of tension. Every head pointed in the direction of the auditorium. It was a day for the inauguration of the chapter. The Christian Medical and Dental association of Nigeria – students’ arm Afe Babalola University (ABUAD)Chapter was conceived on the 23rd of November, 2013 through the consummation of God’s grace and human sacrifices and on this day was undergoing a rite of passage. A transition from an upcoming chapter to a full chapter.
